Something we stopped to see was a nice little waterfall on our way to Penticton. It was a little expensive in our opinion for what you get to see but nonetheless it was a nice small suspension bridge over a small waterfall. Worth a look if you need a break from driving.

Nearby there is hot springs and hotel accomidations but we did not have enough time to check that part out, migh...

A quick stop at this coal mining town on the edge of Alberta, the worlds largest truck on display. There likley was a few other things to see and do in the small town but since we had little time to spend, here is a few pictures that you can't miss when driving through. Also note the coal chainsaw in the photos.

The aerial cableway takes you from Wasserauen into one of the most beautiful areas in Alpstein. From the extensive high plateau with rich alpine flora you get a magnificent round view over the Appenzell, Sankt Gall and Thurgau hill-landscape, the wide area of Lake Constance, as well as to the west and south the picturesque panorama of the Alpstein mountain chain is opened up before you.

Rhine Falls

There sure was a lot of mist in the air! The rhine fall is the biggest waterfall in Europe. Even though it's only 23m high, it's 150m wide. Yes, we had to go back! We visited the Saentis, a 2500m high mountain, in 2008 and could not resist to stand on top of the world again in 2009. The view on a clear day is just breathtaking!
